National Even Ages Cross Country Championships - this Sunday!

Our own Eleanor Foot will be competing against the cream of the crop at the national u12 cross country championships at the national sport campus in Abbotstown, Co. Dublin this Sunday. Anyone who has seen the juvenile provincial races (especially at the younger age groups) will appreciate what a fantastic achievement it is to even qualify for this event.

Since the event is on so close to home (location: goo.gl/0c7h1j), we're encouraging club members and parents to come along and support. The u12s girls race takes place at 11:30am sharp on Sunday. It would be great to see some of you there - look out for our orange Bray Runners A.C. flag.

Clontarf Half Marathon and 5mile

Well done to those who took part in the Clontarf 5mile on Saturday last 19th Nov. Ciara Carter, 37.45; Mary Deery, 44.25 Pb and Mary O'Connor 48.38 Pb. Great running from all. (Those Thursday night hills are paying off)
Jean O'Kennedy ran 1.45.59 in the Half marathon, a good run from Jean as she winds down from a very impressive year.

RECENT NEWS

Leinster Uneven Ages Cross Country Championships

Well done to all our athletes who competed in the Leinster Uneven Ages Championships in Tyrellspass, Co. Westmeath yesterday.

First up, we had Róisín Murray finishing an amazing 2nd place in the u9 girls race, to follow up on her 1st place in the Wicklow Championships a few weeks ago. Next were Rian Anafi-Fizgibbon and Fionn Begley, who both showed their massive recent improvement and finished well up in the top half of a very competitive boys u11 race with over 150 entrants!

Extraordinarily, five of our u13 girls qualified for the National Uneven Ages Cross Country Championships at Dundalk I.T. on 11 December, and only narrowly missed out on Leinster team medals. Well done to Aoife Carter, Gráinne O'Sullivan, Hannah Kelly, Hannah Foot, Ciara Murray and Eleanor Foot. Well done to all; a fantastic day for the club.
