Athletics Leinster Indoor Juvenile Track and Field Championships - Days 1 and 2
Best of luck to the fifteen Bray Runners juveniles who are registered for days 1 and 2 of the Leinster Indoor Track and Field Championships this weekend 11/12th February.
Our athletes will be competing in events as varied as 60m, 60mH, Long Jump, High Jump, as well as the 600m and 800m. We look forward to reporting on how they get on!

Bray junior parkrun
A big thanks to all the members and friends of the club who helped out to make the first ever Bray junior parkrun a big success. We look forward to seeing this weekly free event grow in the coming months and seeing even more youngsters (especially from Bray Runners) taking part - tell a friend! It takes place every
Sunday morning at
9:30 in the People's park in Bray.

Many of our juveniles took part and really enjoyed themselves: Hugh, Catherine, Roisin, Aoife, Hannah K, Hannah F, Emily, Aoife, Eleanor, Cian, Niamh, James, Ciara, Fionn, Nessa, Imogen, Órla, in addition to some family members of existing members, and maybe some more that I didn't see! Training
Training goes ahead as normal on Tuesday 6:50pm-8:00pm at Woodbrook College for Ages 8-17.
Friday, 10th Feb., training WILL NOT GO AHEAD THIS WEEK on account of the Leinster Track and Field Championships, but normally takes place at the track for ages 10-17, but not this week.,
Well done to all our athletes and our fellow Sli Cualann athletes, who took part in the Raheny 5mile, on Sunday 29th Jan. Neil Wiktorski recorded an excellent new Pb of 25.34 to finish in 12th place. Jean O'Kennedy also recorded an excellent new Pb, running 35.35 and took 1st prize in her age category. Paul Allen, running his first 5mile ran a fine 31.14. Peter Doran, 43.16, Paul Gannon, 43.18 and Elaine Casey 44.55 all recorded new Pbs.
Congratulations go to the Sli Cualann Masters Ladies Team (Ann Marie Kenny, Catherine O'Connor, Carol Costello) on winning their category. Mark Christie, Mullingar Harriers AC, 23.44, was first athlete home, Barbara, Donore Harrriers AC, 27.33, was first woman home. At The Heath 10k, Siobhan Butler, returning from injury, ran 47.20, Bobby Mitchell ran 42.09 and Cathy Mitchell ran a new Pb of 48.19.
