Tonight, 6th Dec, we had our annual club H/Cap race. Unfortunately the weather turned nasty, with rain and a strong wind making it a very difficult night for running. The bad weather seems to have kept some from racing but we still had a good turnout for the event. We had an equally good turnout of helpers, Dermot on the leadout bike, Sean, Bernard, Mark, Dolores and Noelle at the start, finish and helping with the post race refreshments and Richard Hourahan out on the course making sure nobody took a wrong turn. Thanks to all who brought mince pies, biscuits and sandwiches and to Ciara and Denise for supplying the home baking. Some excellent times were recorded, Mary Hourahan 32.02 over 2 minutes off her pb, Lorraine O,Rourke 31.28, 1.28 off her pb and the ever improving Siobhan Butler also lowering her pb to 22.30. Fastest time of the night was recorded by Finbar Kirwan, 17.01. Here are some of the results, full results can be found on the results page.
