5K TIME TRIAL.

Last night, 27th, we held a 5k time trial in Shanganagh Park. We had 20 athletes taking part on a humid and damp evening. Numbers a bit down, holidays, injuries etc., to blame, but a good turnout none the less. Dominic and Gary were there to set a good pace at the front of the field for anyone wanting to run 20mins app. There presence was greatly appreciated by the group and we hope to see them, and others from our elite group, on a few more Thursday evenings in the future. Pat McCourt was running as a pacer for those wishing to dip under the 24 mins mark, and did so to perfection by running 23.30. Some fine times were recorded, with most athletes running close to or, in some instances, surpassing their best. Next Thursday we will be returning to our hill work session.
