Wicklow Senior C/C; Gold for Suzanne and Neil.

It was a fantastic day for Bray Runners at today's Wicklow Senior C/C Cships. Suzanne Foot was crowned Senior Women's Champion and Ashling Smith took an excellent bronze, Jean O'Kennedy was just a few places back and along with Emer Hynes and Andrea Murphy the team finished in silver medal position. Well done to everyone who took part and congratulations to the ALL the Parnell team, inc., Annmarie, Ashling and Sile who won Team Gold

In the men's race Neil Wiktorski won Gold in a thrilling race, with Tim Grummell taking silver and Conor Verbruggen from Kilcoole 3rd. Stephen O'Kennedy ran a magnificent race to finish in 4th place. With the help of Joe Cawley (5th), Gary Condon (6th), Dominic Horan and Richard Hourihan the team finished in Gold Medal position. (Full results as soon as we have them.)

Sli Cualann Novice Men 6th in National C/C.

The Sli Cualann Men's team finished 6th at the National Novice C/C Championships, which were held in Dungarvan On Sunday 6th Dec Conditions were very difficult, with the recent rain making underfoot conditions very, very soft.
The team of 10 athletes contained 6 athletes from Bray Runners. They scored 168 points to earn the sixth place finish from a field of 24 teams. Richard Owens was first Sli Cualann finisher, coming home in a very impressive 6th place. Tim Grummell (32), Neil Wiktorski (57) and Jamie Cullen (69) completed the scoring for the team. The team were well backed up by Stephen O'Kennedy (84), Gary Condon (118), Donal Flannery (128), Joe Cawley (144), Patrick Kinsella (169) and Richard Hourihan (180). Well done to all 10 team members, a fine effort. The Wicklow County Team finished 7th, Richard O, Tim, Neil, Jamie, Stephen and Gary being the scoring members of that team.

Brilliant Run From Eleanor Foot at National C/C

Congratulations to Eleanor Foot who finished in an excellent 12th place, in a field of almost 200, at the National Novice and Uneven Ages C/C C/ships which were held in Dungarvan on 6th Dec. Eleanor, competing in the U11 event, was also a member of the Leinster team who won the Inter Provincial title. Great performances also from juvenile athletes from all our fellow Sli Cualann clubs. Thursday Training, 3rd December

Thursday Training--Both groups, Fit4life and Jason's, will meet in the Church Car Park in Shankill on Thursday 3rd December at 7pm and will continue to do so until the New Year.

 

Christmas Drinks Night

Our annual Christmas Drinks Nights will take place on Thursday 17th December in Duff's, Main St., Bray. All members, friends and supporters welcome.
