Another great day for the juvenile section of our club with 3 teams reaching the finals of the Leinster relays, Sunday 3rd March. To top it all off the Under 16 girls won Gold in the 4x200 in an amazing time of 1.49.54. Congratulations to all.
Congratulations also to Ashling Smith, Conor Maher and Dominic Horan, who all took home medals from the Leinster Masters Indoors on Saturday 2nd March. Dominic won Silver in the 3000mtrs in a time of 9.52. Conor won bronze in the 1500mtrs in a time of 4.49, a Pb by 9 seconds. Ashling won Silver in the 800mtrs in 2.31, beaten by a mere 0.7 of a second. She also took Silver in the 1500mtrs in 5.06. Well done to Dessie Shorten, Sli Cualann, who won Gold in the 1500 and 800 mtrs and all Sli Cualann athletes who took part.
In the Laragh 14k Trail Run on Sat 2nd March, Peter Winfield ran a fine 1.31.01. Over in the UK, Julie Fonneraeu took part in the Essex 20mile Road Race, running a very creditable 3.10.24.
Finally well done to ALL our athletes who took part in the Shanganagh Park Run on Saturday. Great to see Aoife Boyle, 23.35, looking as if it will not be long before she is back to her best
Well done to all 22 of our athletes who took part in the Duleek 5k on 24th February 2019. Excellent times recorded, Both Pbs and Sbs recorded, as well as podium finishes by 3 of our athletes.
Was great to see Suzanne Foot back racing, and winning her age category, after a lengthy layoff through injury, The women's team (scoring; Suzanne, Ashling and Jean) finished 2nd, beaten by just 40 seconds by an excellent Na Fianna AC team. The Men's team finished 7th of 13 teams. Pbs from Gerry Keaty, over a minute off previous best, Mary Hayde and Dario Zanucetta. Ashling Smith, finished 3rd in her age Category and Dolores Gilliland had a great run finishing 2nd in her age Category.

Congratulations to Conor Maher who ran a very impressive indoor debut, running 4.58 for the 1500mtrs at the NIA LIVE meet on Wednesday last 23rd FEB. Ashling Smith ran a fine 5,31 in the Mile at the same meet.
