Race Report : Tom Brennan Memorial

⚫🟠 RACE REPORT ⚫🟠
👉Tom Brennan Memorial 5k
📍 Phoenix Park
🗓️ Sunday 01.01.24

The Liffey Valley AC hosted race was stacked with lots of top athletes in both men's and women's races. Efrem Gidey of Clonliffe Harriers took the win with Ciara Wilson of DMPAC taking the women's race With MSB's Shane Healy clearly in M55 5km World Record shape on the day.
Conditions were cold, dry and calm. Perfect for fast road racing.
With the race unfortunately flagged as 100m short of the distance in error soon after it was completed, it really should not take away from the fantastic individual performances by our athletes who no doubt, turned up in PB shape!
Drew Donohoe 15.34 (21st O/All)
James Foot 16.04 (6th MJ)
Adam Craxton 16.58 (13 MJ)
Eleanor Foot 17.01 (3rd F) 🥉
Suzanne Foot 19.19 (1st F50) 🥇
Congratulations on these results to you all 👏👏

National Uneven Championships 2023

Sunday 3rd December, we were in Navan for the National Uneven Championships. It was a very cold day, with temperatures reaching the giddy heights of 2° so CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who took part, competing for Club, County and Province.

Jingle Bells 2023

5k Jingle Bells in a freezing cold Phoenix Park this morning we had 3 of the lads racing with great results for all.

Conor Maher 17.57
Dan Rakic 18.22 (PB)
Michael McElroy 21.01

Conor in great form again going back under 18 minutes. Dan shaving a massive 47s off his previous all time best and going sub 19 💪 A testament to consistently following Bobby's plan. Michael running very close to a PB just 5 weeks after running a sub 4 at DCM.
Super Well Done Fellas. Thanks also to our pacing team who braved the cold weather this morning to help others chase their goals at Shanganagh parkrun.
