As a Mayor of the City of Malaga. I would like to cordially invite you all to the 2018 World Masters Athletics Championship......

There is a huge amount of competition available to athletes both at home and further afield for 2018.  I think the difficulty will be what races to choose!!  We all know how well Ashling did, and indeed the Irish Team, in the European Masters Indoor Athletic Championships in Madrid recently.  Also not forgetting to mention the upcoming European Masters Athletic Non Stadia Championships scheduled for this May and at which a number of our friends in Sli Cualann are competing.

Later in September (4th-16th) the World Masters Athletics Championship takes place in Malaga.  There are a number of athletes within the Club who are interested in participating at this event.  We are planning on holding a meeting in the Clubhouse for those interested in travelling to Malaga to discuss what's involved and logistics etc etc.
The C/ship will include all usual track events up to 5k, This year the 10k will be held on the road, there will also be a Half Marathon.
