Bray Runners League
This initiative is all about participation, inclusion and above all fun. Due to the uncertainty of any real races taking place it has been decided to run a Virtual League for the months January to June 2021. Part 2 of the league will be put together in June when hopefully there may be some opportunities to race in some form.
LEAGUE RULES
4 virtual races to be completed one which must be a Hill segment. These segments are in March and May
The winner will be the person with the highest score over their 3 best races plus 3 bonus points for hill segment.
You may participate in as many of the races as you wish, but scores will be based on the 3 races which score the highest points.
Time and distance are to be submitted with proof of time to Bray Runners Community WhatsApp.
Virtual races are to be run within the dates given. A full list of races can be found here
Virtual races are to be run as a continual effort and not broken down into "intervals". Where possible elapsed time should also be provided.
Hill segment locations will be confirmed at start of March and April depending on Covid restrictions.
Points are awarded as follows:
- 5 points for completing the distance and submitting a time within the dates given
- 5 Bonus points for a PB at that distance. If claiming a PB then Previous PB time to be submitted with your virtual race results
- 5 Bonus points for Dec/January Goal Mile
- 5 Bonus points for February 10k or 10 mile
- 5 Bonus points for completing two distances of May Track races
- 5 Bonus Points for completing Hill segment

The winner will be the person with the highest score over their 3 best races plus 3 points for completing 1 of the hill segments. In the event of a tie the person with the highest score from PB's will be the Winner. The committee reserves the right to amend races in the league, especially where Covid restrictions are likely to impact participation.
Points for Part 1 will be added to Points for Part 2. Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd will be awarded for the full league running January 2021 to December 2021.
