The group were reminded that the 5k annual Club H/cap will take place on thursday 6th This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. in Ballywaltrim.Presentation of prizes and Christmas drinks will take place on thursday 13th Dec in Duffs, Main ST. Bray (opposite McDonalds). The format for the H/cap is that runners start in order of ability, with the fastest runner starting last. The hope, if the handicapper gets it right, is that all runners should finish close to each other. We normally get a great turnout, so hopefully this year will be no differant.

Our Chairperson, on behalf of the committee and members would like to wish all our athletes taking part in the Leinster C/C, in Avondale, and Dublin Marathon, including pacers, the very best of luck.

Quiet weekend on the racing front for our members. An interesting adventure race, runamuck challenge, was held on sunday, in which Peter Clifford, Seans son , finished in 12th position. Full results and photographs on . Wicklow Senior and Junior C/C takes place on 16th Dec in Shanganagh. Your chairperson and committee are working hard to ensure that we get as many athletes taking part as possible and repeat if not improve on our fine performances from last year. Soon we will publish panels from which the various teams will be selected, please let your committee know if you are available to take part. If not running stewards are always welcome.

The Wicklow Intermediate and uneven ages C/C  C/ships were held in Avondale, Rathdrum, today, 14th Oct. In the mens race Laurance Doyle ran an excellent race to finish 2nd and take the silver medal, great effort since it is only 2 weeks since he ran Berlin marathon. Dominic Horan and Bill Stanley both put in great efforts to finish 7th and 16th respectively. In the womens race our only representive was Valarie Brunton, who due to previous successes was running as a guest. and she finished a long way clear of the rest of the field, a great sign for our womens team for the Senior C/C on 16th Dec. We were very well represented in all the under age events and will put the results up as soon as we have them. Tim Grummell, Inbhear Dee, won the mens race and Hannah Nolan won the womens race.
