Jingle Bells 5K

Well done to all our athletes who took part in the Donore Harriers Jingle Bells 5k on 1st December 2018 
Dominic Horan ran an excellent 16.50, his fastest 5k this year, and was 3rd in his age category. Paul Allen ran 17.42, Conor Maher ran 18.52, both just seconds away from their best. Lee Borland ran a new Pb of 20.25, over a minute off his previous best.
Jean O'Kennedy was 1st in her age category, running 22.10. Sandra Brady 25.13 and Elaine Casey 25.46 can be well pleased with their times. Sharon Bailey ran 26.04,
Well done also to our fellow Sli Cualann athletes Brian Geraghty who ran 15.35 and was 1st in his age category, and Joe Dowd who ran 17.01.

Dublin City Marathon 2018

Once again congratulations to all Bray Runners/Sli Cualann and County athletes who took part in the DCM on Sunday October 28th

Congratulations also to the Sli Cualann Senior Womens team who won an excellent Bronze medal.

SSE Race Series, Fingal 10k.

Well done to all our Bray Runners and fellow Sli Cualann athletes who took part in the SSE Race Series, Fingal 10K on Sunday 22nd July.
Ian McGrath continued his impressive season, running 34.31 and finishing 12th O/A and 3rd 0/40. Joe Kelly ran 37.51 and was 5th 0/45. Michael Knight ran a fine 41.49 to finish 2nd 0/60. Jean O'Kennedy was 1st in her Age Category, in a time of 44.38, Paul Gannon ran 50.46, and Aoife Stokes was pleased with her 54.59, great to see Aoife back racing.
Sarah Baryga ran 39.10 and was 3rd in her Age Category. 
Some other Sli Cualann results were, Alan Dalton 35.54, Alan Duffy 36.32, Laura McCann 44.25 and Kathleen Forde 53.12.

Time Trial and Shanganagh Parkrun on Saturday next, 28th July, are both races in our Bray Runners Race League.

Bettystown 5mile and More

The Bettystown 5mile was held on Tuesday 17th July in near perfect running conditions. John Ashworth ran a Pb of 35.34, Paul Gannon also ran a Pb of 41.25, Jackie O'Neill ran 49.30 and Dillon O'Neill, running his first official race ran 38.58. Well done to all and well done to Cilles AC, a really well organised race, plenty of prizes and a great spread afterwards.
The race was won by Freddy Stukk, Raheny Shamrocks, in 26.07 and first woman home was Yasmin Canning, Drogheda and District AC, in 33.08. Full results here


At the Irish Runner 10 mile, on Sunday 15th July, Paul Gannon ran 1.41.04. The race was won by Freddy Stukk in 52.36, first woman was Caitriona Jennings in 61.21

At the Blaney Rockets 10mile, Sat 21st July, Paul Allen ran a new pb of 64.40. Paul finished 13th overall and 3rd in his age category. Great to see Paul back to his best after his recent injury.

Weekend Round Up, 13th /15th July.

On Sat 14th July,in hot, humid and breezy conditions Siobhan Butler, Ian McGrath and Dominic Horan took part in the Day of Irish PB's 5,000m at the Le Cheile track in Leixlip. Ian ran 16:37, Dominic 17:09 and Siobhan 22:42, well done to all.

At the Irish Runner 10ml, also on Sat 14th July, Paul Gannon ran 1.41.04.
