Roscommon 10ml. Jean in the Prizes.

Well done to all our Bray Runners and Sli Cualann athletes who took part in the Roscommon 10ml and the Clontarf Half Marathon and 5ml earlier today. Despite the very warm conditions some fine times were recorded.
At the Roscommon 10ml, Jean O'Kennedy ran 75.30, was 14th woman home and 3rd in age category. Richard Kavanagh ran 73.34 and was 2nd 0/60. Emer Hynes, doing a bit of pacing, ran 1.40.07 and Elaine Casey ran a new Pb of 1.40.10. Mary O'Connor, running the distance for the first time, should be well pleased with her time of 1.41.22. Well done also to Laura McCann (Inbhear Mor/Sli Cualann) who, despite being affected by the heat, ran 80.25. The race was won by Mick Clohisey, Raheny Shamrocks, in 49.31 and 1st woman home was Sinnead Foran, Athenry AC, in 67.03.
Very well organised race with great post race food, which included a very tasty chicken curry.
At the Clontarf Half Marathon, Sharon Bailey ran 1.52.24 and Marie Curran ran 2.03.56. The race was won by David Murray in 78.15 with Shirley Coyle first woman home in 88.44.
In the Clontarf 5ml Maureen O'Rourke ran 46.07. Well done to all.
