Dunshaughlin 10K 2019

Great turnout of Bray Runners and Sli Cualann athletes at the Dunshaughlin 10k on Saturday 22nd June. Excellent times recorded, Pbs, Sbs and a few category prizes as well.

Not to be outdone Garrett Kelly ran a new Pb of 37.02, which is 3mins 8sec off his previous best. Joe Kelly, running his first race in quite a while, ran a fine 38.50. Suzanne Foot ran 40.34 and was 3rd 0/45 and Bill Stanley ran 42.21. Karol O'Loinsigh was another to run a Pb, recording 43.07

Great run from Sharon Bailey, 47.04 a new Pb by almost 1 minute. Dillon O'Neill ran 47.29, going very well to 7k but fell ill at that stage and had to jog home. Paul Gannon 50.48 and Peter Doran 52.52 were very happy with their times. Sandra Brady ran 53.49, 6th 0/55 and her best 10k in over 2 years. Mary O'Connor, 56.44, 9th 0/55 and ran her 2nd fastest 10k. Fine run from Jackie O.Neill, 61.20, tantalisingly close to recording a new PB.

The Sli Cualann men's team finished in 7th place, (Ian, Darren, Paul Allen and Robert Murphy) from 59 teams. The Sli Cualann women's team (Suzanne Foot, Siobhan Butler and Lynne Duffy) finished 8th from 67 Teams.  Congratulations to Fionnuala McCormack who was 1st woman home in Dunshaughlin in a time of 32.17, a new course record. Congratulations also go to Sarah Baryga, who was 1st woman home in the Waterford Marathon, Sat 22nd June, in a very impressive 2.58.50.

Well done to everyone who took part, great running.
