Congratulations to Ashling Smith who smashed her 1500 mtrs Pb at the GV Ryan Irish milers Club meet in Irishtown on Saturday 14th July. Ashling, breaking 5mins for the first time, ran 4.55.07 (provisional) which is not alone a Pb, by 7 seconds, but, when ratified, will be an Irish National Age Group (45/49) record. We wish Ashling well as she enters the final phase of her preparations for the World Masters T/F C/ships in Sept.
Our Club was founded in 1983 primarily as a marathon running club, however over the years we have introduced a juvenile section and cover a wide range of athletic disciplines.
