Recent Results Round Up

There has been some fine performances from our athletes over the past couple of weeks. At the Rathfarnham 5k, Colm O'Heigeartaigh ran an excellent new Pb of 17.58. The racewas won by John Travers, Donore Harriers, in atime of 14.21. First lady home was Teresa Doherty, Finn Valley AC, in 16.27. In Berlin, Diana Doll ran her first marathon and recorded a fine time of 4.24.48, well done Diana.

On Saturday 26th Sept., just 6 days after running a PB in the Charleville Half Marathon, Gary Condon finished in 3rd place in the Moone Kilomarathon, 26.2k, in an excellent time of 1.34.42,

Paul Allen  took part in the Killarney Adventure Race on Saturday, 60k Pro Route. (mountain run 7k,bike 35k, Kayak 1.5k, Forest Run 9k, Bike 6k). Paul finished in a very good time of 3.49.12. Should be in good shape for Inter C/C next Sunday.

Well done to all our juvenile athletes who performed so well at the Wicklow C/C C/ships in Avondale. Ind and team medals plus excellent performances from all. Well done to their coaches and mentors as well.
Stephen O'Kennedy ran an excellent race to finish 5th in Mens Novice event. Great effort from Stephen in his first C/C race. Well done to Richard H, Joe K and Will Foot who all ran very well, despite only making a last minute decision to run. The mens team finished in the Bronze medal position, well done.
