Fit4life Mile
Thursday evening seen several Bray Runners head to the track for the Fit4Life Mile.
The track at Charlesland was still buzzing as a schools competition wrapped up for the day and ‘Fit4Lifers’ registered in the a grade that suited their target.
With mild temperatures and only the slightest of breezes blowing down the back straight this made it a perfect evening for both seasoned and novice track runners.

In the sub 5:30 which was won in 4:39 by Inbhear Dee’s Tim Grummell, Gary Condon ran a PB in 4:49 to win the M40 category and Dominic Horan ran a Master’s PB of 4:57 to take 3rd place.
Colm Ó Héigéartaigh 5:26 and Tom Cavanagh 6:18 both ran fine races in the sub 6:30 race.
Not to be outdone the Women also put on a fine show, fastest woman on the night was Parnell’s Sile O’Byrne running 5:29, with our own Noreen Nuala Noelle (Terry will get it right one of these days J) Thorpe running her 1st track race was 3rd fastest Woman and winning the W50 category in 6:12, the ever present Charlotte Stevens finished 3rd in the same category with a 6:38 and Cara Condon ran 6:26 to pick up 2nd place in the Junior Women.
