Ratoath 5k

On sunday 16th Sept., the Ratoath 5k took place. This was the first running of this race which is organised by Ratoath A.C. It attracted a field of over 300 athlethes. First home was Thomas Moran, 15.36, first woman home was Patricia Wvodarvik, 18.20. The course is very good, quiet country roads, fast first k, followed by 3 tough ks and a fast final k. The organisation was excellent, roads closed and plenty of stewards on the course. Changing facilities, hot showers also available. A couple of good photos of our own Martin Francis, on start line, on www.ratoathac.com . The post race refreshments were the best I have seen. Only gripe, age catagories were in 10 year blocks, not the usual 5.  9/10.

About Us

Our Club was founded in 1983 primarily as a marathon running club, however over the years we have introduced a juvenile section and cover a wide range of athletic disciplines.
