Bohermeen 5mile

This is a long established event on the Co. Meath running calender. This year was the 40th running. It is a vey well organised race, as you would expect, run over quiet country roads. The first 2 miles being flat, but the next 2 are very testing, especially yesterday as there was a very strong headwind. The final mile is reasonably flat with the last 100mts run on the finishing straight of the local track. Hot showers and plenty of food available after the race. The Rennicks cup is the main prize, but there are 3 prizes in each catagory, women and men, and team prizes also. There is a 5k race/fun run prior to the main race. Well done Bohermeen A.C.
